This Practice describes the requirements for installing standard steel doors, frames and related hardware. It applies the recommendations of the Steel Door Institute (SDI) of Westlake, Ohio and the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) of Chantilly, Virginia.

This Practice does not include requirements for field-applied finish painting.
