MSS SP-9-2008

1. SCOPE

1.1 This MSS Standard Practice applies to the spotfacing for U.S. customary (inch series) bolting ofpipe flanges in bronze, gray iron, ductile iron orsteel when cast integral with valves and fittings, aswell as the companion flanges, when so required bythe standard for the product.

1.2 This Standard Practice also applies to the spotfacing for metric bolting used in bolted joints notcovered by the reference flange standards herein.
