Emerging Technologies: BIM for Energy Savings

Building information modeling (BIM) offers a wide range of information about a building. Its analysis tools could be used to meet energy standards and certifications and, by using third-party software that evaluates a buildings overall energy performance, could help with energy savings. There is also an array of BIM analysis tools available to assist in evaluating building performance, some of which are geared towards energy analysis.
