Integrated Design for Sustainable Buildings

The integrated design process (IDP) is crucial in producing agreen building. For purposes of this discussion, integrateddesign is defined as a process by which all of the design variablesthat affect one another are considered together and resolved inan optimal fashion. It could also be called holistic design in that itlooks at the entire building as a whole, and emphasis is on integratingthe different aspects of the building design.
