The Victor Valley Water District Administration Facility in Victorville, California is an environmentally friendly building featuring innovative and purposeful design to use resources efficiency. The objectives for the mechanical system design included: reducing the buildings total energy consumption by 30% and HVAC energy consumption by 40% more than mandated by California State Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24) and ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1989, Energy Efficient Design of New Buildings; minimizing the use of refrigerant; maximizing indoor comfort (IAQ); improving system efficiency; and optimizing mechanical system performance.
