Building Sciences: Energy Flow Across Enclosures
According to the author, higher levels of thermal resistance and reduced heat gain across building enclosures have forever changed the performance of buildings and not necessarily in a good way. To solve the problem, Lstiburek advocates insulating on the outside, back-ventilating and draining cladding, separating sensible load from latent load and not overventilating.Units: DualCitation: ASHRAE Journal, vol. 50, no. 8, August 2008
